I’m Dr. Khalil Thirlaway, a versatile presenter and producer who’s passionate about creative science communication.

My scientific background is in biology, and my PhD research was spent searching for new drugs in rainforest plants to treat immune disorders, boost vaccines and target cancers.

I love getting audiences excited about science, nature and the social contexts around them. The best way to do that is to give people a unique experience that gives them an unexpected perspective on the subject.

Whether that’s a board game about fish parasites, an environmental mockumentary from the future or a written article that asks questions of the reader, I believe firmly in the power of the audience to make amazing discoveries with a little help.
